To know yourself as the Being underneath the thinker, the stillness underneath the mental noise, the love and joy underneath the pain, is freedom, salvation, enlightenment.~Eckhart Tolle
Answers and more questions
When we journey inwards, we will often have a question in mind or a problem that needs solving.
Sometimes what we discover is a clear and concise answer, and sometimes we’ll be puzzled by what we find.
We always receive an answer when we connect with our true selves, it just might take time to think it over, work through the symbolism and apply it to our current situation.
Thinking over what we find withing is constructive and nothing like the worrying we often fall prey to. Contemplative thinking uncovers the answers to questions we have and helps us progress down our path in life. Worrying holds us back in fear, and growth cannot occur.
Journey inwards, think about what you find and grow…
It’s good for you
The more you practice going inwards the easier it will become for you. You’ll develop your inner landscape in great detail, and know where to go for answers to specific questions.
You’ll make surprising discoveries as you continue on your inner journeys. Great insight will be gained by viewing situations from a different perspective.
The various aspects of yourself that you’ll meet when you turn inwards all have different viewpoints. They’re all part of us, but by imagining them as separate entities, we can access a focused part of ourselves and ask it questions.
Doing this avoids the self editing we all do when we think with our conscious minds. We veto many ideas before they rise to the surface of our minds.
By journeying inwards, we can access these thoughts and ideas at the source, and bypass the gatekeeper of our conscious mind, whose job is to keep everything running smoothly and on autopilot.
This is good sometimes, but for real change to occur, we have to get in touch with all aspects of ourselves. This is what the inner journey is good for. By practicing it, we get to know ourselves better.
We’ve discussed how to journey inwards and meet our true selves. Keep practicing the exercises and get comfortable with them. Next we’ll expand on what we find inside and get into reality and the different versions of it that we carry with us at all times.
