New Trees To Climb

A man who as a physical being is always turned toward the outside, thinking that his happiness lies outside him, finally turns inward and discovers that the source is within him. Soren Kierkegaard

Moving on from here
Looking at other trees to climb.

Looking at other trees to climb.

Doug and I have turned inward these past few weeks- We’ve been focusing less on finding our path and more on who we are…

We set out to find ourselves in the “real” world, and feel that we have with our Find Your Path In Life series… Now we’re thinking about a new series of posts focusing on becoming a better us.

Our life is in the middle of change at almost all levels… If you’ve been a regular reader of this blog you know a bit about what I’m speaking of…

We can’t say too much yet because, although we’re coming out ahead, many things are still unsettled.

New ways of being us

Doug and I are spiritual monkeys, and a little of that has come out in our posts. We think it’ll be beneficial and fun to go inward and learn about ourselves with the same effort and detail we put into finding our path in life.

Maybe we did it backwards… Maybe we should have gotten to know the real monkeys that we are before we started chasing our talents…. Or maybe we’re just silly monkeys who do things in whatever order we feel like!

After the holiday season we’ll be launching our new series, tentatively titled “Meeting The Real You”. We’re not going to focus one any one religion, but more on a universal sense of spirituality that all religions share. Hopefully, everyone will be able to find something useful in this forthcoming series…

We’ll be working on the outline of this new series when we’re away visiting family for a few days over the holidays. We enjoyed writing the Find Your Path In Life series, and will wrap it up with two posts yet to be published.

We’re excited to be starting a new project, and we hope you’ll follow along! Get a new notebook, sharpen your pencil and get ready to meet the real you!

… And I’ll be doing all new Doug illustrations to go along with the new series too… No, no, please sit down. Jumping up and down and cheering kind of embarrasses us… We’re modest monkeys…
