I did not write this! Reblogged…Every Journey Begins With the First Step.

I did not write this! I just stumbled upon a new blog while cruising the reader… Check it out. It seems this person can use some stories about why your life is wonderful, in spite of, well, life… Be a candle in someone’s darkness…

Six Months or Else

“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”                                             — Oscar Wilde

I exist. That is all. And it’s simply not enough any more.

My plan? Six months. I’m giving myself until May 1, 2014 to find a life that I’m content with.

The possible outcomes? Happiness, death, or simply walking away are on my short list. My primary goal is to find out who I am and what I need to live happily. I hope I can do it. 1. I am so sad to read this posting! You are a terrific writer and I always look forward to reading your stories. I understand why you are feeling so worthless – every man needs a job and now there are so many in your position and the world we now know is definitely broken. I have myself been through severe depression and after losing 2-1/2 years of my life, I am now healthy and in happy spirits. It took going through several meds and several Psychologists and finally a very good Psychiatrist which did help a lot, but I really believe it was a trip across the country to spend several weeks with my family and being very busy socially with no time to think of myself that truly pulled me up out of the deep hole. They brought me back to life with their love and prayers. I am eternally grateful to God who did finally hear me and my loving family for bringing me back to a happy, fulfilling and productive life. Suggestion: Take any job you can get, no matter what it is so you can move in a new direction and meet new people…you never know..what will happen…God works in mysterious ways. I am just one of many out here in the larger world who cares about you..hang in there, it WILL get better, Believe and do not give up hope!

    1. Good insight… To be clear, it’s not me, John/Doug, who wrote this post. We’re happy being foolish monkeys, and getting happier every day. I found the post and reblogged it, thinking that the writer could use some encouragement… Original post is here: http://robpockatblog.wordpress.com/2013/10/11/every-journey-begins-with-the-first-step/

Thankfully, I’m not at such a desperate point in life… I reblogged this post as I felt the author could use some insight and encouragement. everyone who has written to me has been very kind and generous… I’m pleased to hear that my new blog has meaning for some of you… It makes it worth doing for me. But please, direct your comments to the author in the post above.
